Multiple teachers available across both studio locations. All teachers are degree qualified, experienced, hold current working with children checks and have completed mandatory reporting training. You will be allocated to a teacher based on your ability and preferred days/times. Please note that all special needs students must enrol with Lian Marciano (subject to availability), and this should be notified upon enrolment to allow her to assess needs and lesson plan accordingly.

Pianist, Piano Teacher, Chamber Musician
Lian began playing the piano at 3yrs of age, formal lessons at age 4, and performed publicly for the first time at 8yrs. Lian completed AMEB Grades Preliminary to 8 by her early teens, and attended a specialist music High School before going on to study at the Elder Conservatorium of Music. Lian holds first class Honours Degrees in both Piano Performance and Law, and is currently completing a Master of Performance Studies (Piano) at the Elder Conservatorium of Music. Lian has 20+ years experience. Her teachers have included Stefan Ammer, Konstantin Shamray, and significantly, her long term teacher and mentor, Lucinda Collins (Head of Keyboard, Elder Conservatorium). Lian has also studied with eminent pianists/pedagogues in Europe such as Professor Karl-Heinz Simon ( Professor of Piano and Pedagogy, Hoschule fur Musik 'Carl Maria-von-Weber', Dresden, Germany), and from the Russian school, Professor Anna Malikova (distinguished Professor at the University for Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, Austria). Lian has recently returned from 5 weeks of performances and masterclasses in Europe, and is looking forward to sharing her experience with current and new students.
Lian is a full-time pianist and teacher, sharing her time between SAAOM's studios at Lockleys, and Stirling, Adelaide Hills. Lian also teaches piano at the Open Music Academy at the Elder Conservatorium of Music so if you are looking for a central location and can't make it to the Hills or Lockleys, feel free to get in touch and she can direct you to the right people.
Lian is a patient and caring teacher who goes above and beyond for any student who wants to put the effort in. She offers individual, shared or group lessons and runs the Music for Little Mozarts course for 4yr olds, group beginner classes for school children, and adult group piano course. In addition to regular weekly lessons, Lian can also prepare students for AMEB exams, eisteddfods and conservatorium auditions.

PHOEBE XEROS
Piano Teacher
Phoebe has been surrounded by music her whole life, having grown up with musicians in the family, and starting piano lessons from the age of 5. She completed the AMEB AMusA Diploma in 2018, followed by a Bachelor of Music through Central Queensland University in 2020. Phoebe is currently in her final semester of the Master of Music (Performance and Pedagogy) (Piano) at the University of Adelaide. She has studied with Konstantin Shamray, and is currently studying with Lucinda Collins (Head of Keyboard, Elder Conservatorium).

Phoebe is passionate about teaching adults and children, and brings years of teaching experience, including five years teaching in a regional Conservatorium in NSW. Phoebe currently teaches piano at the Stirling studio, and in 2025 will also be teaching piano lessons from our Henley Beach piano studio.
